LightCo Terms & Conditions
All products sold by Lightco Luminaries Limited (NZBN 9429047020559) (Lightco) are subject to these terms and conditions. We can amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time and any updated Terms and Conditions will apply to any subsequent Order by You.
These Terms and Conditions supersede and cancel any previous agreement, understanding, representations or arrangement, whether written or oral and prevail over any other agreement or arrangement or terms and conditions.
In these terms and conditions references to Lightco, Us or We means Lightco. References to You or Your means the customer who buys products from Us.
Payment must be made by internet banking or credit cards accepted by Us (Visa/ Master Card). You must pay us in full (free of any deduction or withholding whatsoever) before the products are shipped to you. For any custom made orders we require a 50% deposit before your order will be placed with the manufacturer. The deposit is not refundable.
All pricing is subject to change, and excludes light bulbs, fittings and/or delivery unless stated otherwise. Prices for Products will be confirmed when you place your order.
While We aim to despatch and deliver your order to you as quickly as possible, any advised time for delivery is only an estimate and We cannot guarantee delivery on or before any set date. We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage suffered or incurred by you in connection with any failure to make the products available to you for delivery by any particular date.
Once your order has been dispatched your order status and account will be updated accordingly. Your order will be delivered to your door via track and trace courier, requiring a signature on receipt. Please note that we cannot deliver to P.O boxes.
All products are at your sole risk once We have placed them with the courier for delivery to You.
Defects and Returns
The Products we supply to you are warranted to be free of defects in workmanship and materials. This warranty will be voided if You do not install them in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, use the incorrect voltage or do not use a qualified person to install the Products.
Also clearance, factory second, and special custom made items are not refundable, not exchangeable. Labour cost is not refundable.
Any item that has been installed or modified, is not refundable or exchangeable.
LightCo offers a 7 day right of return if you find your purchase is not fit for its intended use and the Product is still in its original condition, has its original packing and has not been installed. We do not offer a ‘change of mind’ refund, so please choose carefully.
Any refunds will be issued upon return receipt of the goods. Freight cost is not refundable. Return freight is at the purchaser’s cost.

If Products are faulty, or are damaged in the process of shipping, we will provide an exchange and any replacement will be free of charge under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
If You claim that the Products were damaged in the process of shipping then You must contact us within 10 days of receipt of the Products to make such a claim. If You do not then you are deemed to have accepted the Products.
All Product warranties are personal to You and are not transferrable or assignable to any other person. In no event will Lightco be liable to You in respect of indirect or consequential losses, damages costs and/or expenses.
If the Products are not Consumer Goods (as defined by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993) then despite anything else in these Terms and Conditions, all conditions, warranties, descriptions, representations, conditions as to fitness or suitability for any purpose, tolerance to any conditions, merchantability or otherwise (whether of a like nature or not) and whether express or implied by law, trade custom or otherwise are, to the maximum extent permissible by law, expressly excluded.
All fittings have a minimum 24 month warranty, if installed by a qualified electrician. Products that have been installed cannot be returned for a refund unless faulty.
All electrical work must be performed by a licensed electrician unless a Product is labelled DIY (Do-It-Yourself).
All lighting products sold via LightCo are subject to NZ/AU standards. All relevant documentation is available upon request.

Before you can place an order with Us, You will need to register as a customer by opening an account. We will then use that information for the purposes of transactions with You and for providing You with Our marketing material from time to time. You can opt out from receiving that marketing material at any time.
